Our Story

The Yamaha U2 upright piano in the Redroom, keys and strings

Redbooth began as a home. Founded in 2014 by composer and audio engineer Scarlett Saad, the studio was built room by room inside an apartment in Jounieh, and it has kept that warmth ever since.

Today it is a fully equipped production space for musicians and film projects alike: three studios, a vocal booth, and a team that covers music recording, mixing, mastering, sound design, foley and film mixing. Around the studio, you'll find artwork and CDs from Lebanon's music and art scene, some of them made right here.

The best way to get to know the space is to visit.

What We Do

From tracking a live band to finishing a film's sound, Redbooth covers the full range of what a project needs, in the studio, on location, or somewhere in between.

  1. 01

    Recording

From full band sessions to solo vocal takes, Redbooth is built to capture performances the way they're meant to be heard, with the mic locker, the room options, and the signal chain to match whatever the song needs.

  2. 02

    Music Production

Guiding a track from idea to finished record: arrangement, instrumentation, and creative direction for artists who want a collaborator in the room, not just an operator behind the desk.

  3. 03

    Mixing / Mastering

Turning raw tracks into a finished, cohesive sound, then preparing that mix for release, so it holds up across every platform and every set of speakers.

  4. 04

Music Composition for film / for live

Original music written to fit the work: themes and scores built for the screen, and material composed and arranged for live performance.

  5. 05

    Audio Post-Production

Finishing the sound on a project after the picture is locked: cleaning up, balancing, and preparing audio for its final format.

  6. 06

    Sound Design

Building the sonic world around a piece of work, crafting and shaping sound to support story, mood, and atmosphere.

  7. 07

    ADR / Foley

Studio-recorded replacement dialogue and performed sound effects, captured to match picture, filling in what production audio couldn't catch.

  8. 08

    Sound Restoration

Cleaning up damaged, noisy, or degraded audio, removing hiss, clicks, hum, and other artifacts to recover a usable, listenable recording.

  9. 09

    Scoring

Composing and producing original music written specifically to a picture, timed, shaped, and mixed to support the story on screen.

  10. 10

    Musical Direction

Guiding the musical vision of a project or performance, from arrangement choices to shaping how a piece comes together as a whole.

  11. 11

    Podcasts

Recording, mixing, and finishing podcast episodes, from a single voice to a full multi-guest conversation.

  12. 12

Record & Film a Live Session

Capturing a live performance in full: audio and video together, either at the studio or out on location.

  13. 13

    Field Recording

Sound doesn't only happen inside the studio. Redbooth also records on location, capturing the ambiences, textures, and real-world sound that no studio session can replicate.
